Furthermore, a follow-up control experiment ( n = 60) revealed that these effects did not solely stem from enhanced text saliency in the Streamlined condition and reproduced the finding of a negative relationship between fixations to extraneous details and reading comprehension. Some years ago, I came upon the phrase used in industry, ‘Keep it simple stupid’, that is, KISS, and thought about it in relation to scientific model-building. Spray the inside of the tank with a bleach-free, disinfecting cleaner. Importantly, fixations toward extraneous details accounted for the unique variance in reading comprehension controlling for reading proficiency and attending to relevant illustrations. Extraneous illustrations promoted attentional competition and hindered reading comprehension: children made more gaze shifts away from text in the Standard compared to the Streamlined condition, and reading comprehension was significantly higher in the Streamlined condition compared to the Standard condition. Kelly explained the idea to others with a simple story. Children ( n = 60) read a story in a commercially available Standard condition and in a Streamlined condition, in which extraneous illustrations were removed while an eye-tracker recorded children's gaze shifts away from the text, fixations to extraneous illustrations, and fixations to relevant illustrations. ![]() ![]() I do not want to play Game Cube games on my Wii U because I dislike managing ISO files and all that stuff. My Wii is my Game Cube machine and I am happy with that. I modded it mostly because I am a Bomberman fan and wanted to play the full Japanese story mode Bomberman Blast game, which is only available in Japan. I did put a few Virtual Console games on it, but I primarily use it just for Game Cube and Wii games. My Wii is modded and I have homebrew installed on it. I also have a 2DS XL from the end of production of that console that was bought new.Īdditionally I own a Wii, but that was bought just after the shutdown of the online shop. I take excellent care of my gaming systems and expect this console to have a long life. After the recent introduction of the online expansion pack, it is my belief that Nintendo will never again offer legacy games as non subscription downloads, so I decided to take the plunge and buy a Wii U before the VC is shut down for good. I have grown increasingly frustrated with Nintendo's decision to use a subscription service rather than a Virtual Console for legacy games. My background with recent Nintendo consoles: I have a Switch and it is my primary gaming console right now. I do not plan on putting homebrew on this Wii U and will explain why. My preference is for a stock Wii U with no one's information or digital games. No idea if it has been modded (likely not), reformatted, or still has the prior owners Mii and game data. It gets mailed to me on January 4th, so I do not have it in my possession yet. It is a "Lightly" (I sure hope so!) used North American Wii U, but I have no other information. Hello everyone! Over the holidays I used an ebay gift card to help buy myself a nice looking Mario & Luigi Wii U complete in the box. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Head back to Greenview, break into 110, then use the crowbar to break the dishes on the counter in the living room/bedroom. It's a good idea to already have at least one DIY Simple Lockpick by now, but if not, the rest of the mission will take the player through the steps to acquire the skill and item. ![]() Compared to the most latest Devil May Cry, the lenght of the game is shortened and the graphics are improved. The graphics are great, so is the gameplay, and the storyline is interesting. Also, you wouldn't be worried about Dante being shoved a little to the side to become more of a side character. It's quite seperate from the other games. If you're not a huge Devil May Cry fun, it wouldn't be bad to start with this game as your intro to the series. The depth of gameplay is just as rewarding as the other installments. Overall, I think that the game is a good buy. I personally find myself still favoring Dante to keep the spotlight rather than pass the mantle to Nero, who I'm still not a big fan of. The final boss is a quick fight and comparing it with the final boss in the third game makes it somewhat disappointing. I'm not gonna explain why as it would be a spoiler for the game. True, it has the same number of missions but much o f the second half is, I guess you could say, a repeat of the first. I for one believe that it was quite short. From Berial to Baal, the new bosses are just as pleasing to fight and look at, if not more. And of course, just like the rest of the series, there has to be several bosses that are just well thought of. The graphics are superb, especially with surroundings. ![]() In fact, you can argue that it's twice as deep since you have the original Dante having a lot of the same moves and having Nero as the new lead character with his own novel addition to the game with the Devil Buster and his own fighting style. The fighting system is just as captivating in Devil May Cry 4. I've been playing Devil May Cry for years attracted by its unique focus on not just hack-and-slash concept but also how you hack-and slash. Also featured in the collector's edition is an exclusive DVD-ROM with music from the soundtrack, a digital art book, a featurette on the game's development, and an assortment of wallpapers, icons, and screen savers to personalize computer desktops. A total of four episodes are available on the DVD: "Devil May Cry," "Highway Star," "Not Love," and "Rolling Thunder." Three additional volumes are planned, each offering four episodes apiece, and will be available to U.S. Packaged in a distinctive "steel book" case, the game is bundled with the first volume of ADV Films' Devil May Cry: The Animated Series. The collector's edition of Devil May Cry 4 includes a number of bonuses designed to appeal to longtime fans of Capcom's critically acclaimed series. Dante is also playable at certain points in Devil May Cry 4, which according to producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi, features more content than the first three titles combined. Throughout his demon-slaying journey, Nero must solve environment-based puzzles and confront towering boss creatures, with each conquest allowing him the opportunity to upgrade his powerful arm. Fans of earlier versions can still collect health-enhancing orbs from defeated enemies and initiate "devil trigger" transformations for temporary boosts in speed and power. ![]() By varying his attacks and minimizing the damage received in each level, Nero will earn "Proud Souls" to spend on sword combos, bullets, and improved attributes. ![]() Players can once again freely switch between melee and projectile attacks to string together elaborate combos, with bonus points awarded for style. The demonic appendage lets him perform feats of agility not possible by mere mortals, such as grabbing enemies from afar, slamming them into the ground, spinning them overhead, or initiating various other context-sensitive moves. "the devil bringer," is imbued with an ethereal glow and is a source of supernatural strength. Nero's power is not limited to his distinctive weapons, however. The fourth installment of Capcom's gothic action series is the first to feature a new protagonist: Nero, who enters battle with a double-barreled revolver called the "Blue Rose" and an ornate sword known as the "Red Queen." He is also a card-carrying member of the Order of the Sword, an organization systematically dismantled by former series protagonist, Dante. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Thrilling bike riding game is all about speeding and thrilling the city over the Halloween night with ghosts in 3D designed city theme. A number of Ghost Rider series were published under the Marvel Knights imprint in the early 21st century. In 1994 that series was followed by another spin-off, Ghost Rider 2099, which potently mixed cyberpunk and horror. Soon both he and Ketch were co-headlining in a second Ghost Rider comic, called Spirits of Vengeance. This incarnation of the character soon enjoyed enormous popularity, and it was not long before Blaze himself returned. Then, in 1990, a new Ghost Rider comic appeared with a new star-teenager Danny Ketch, who happens upon Blaze’s motorcycle in a graveyard and is transformed into another flaming-skulled hero. As the 1980s turned away from horror, Blaze more or less vanished from the Marvel universe. By most measures, Ghost Rider was rarely one of Marvel’s most successful comics, but somehow it outlasted all of its horror-themed contemporaries to run for an incredible 10 years. After a short run in Marvel Spotlight, Ghost Rider was given his own title in 1973. Wielding the supernatural power of hellfire and occasionally forced to do the bidding of Mephisto, Blaze is faced with the dread prospect that he could succumb to demonic forces at any time.Īfter a stint with the circus, Blaze moves to Hollywood and briefly spends time in a superhero team called the Champions. As a result, Johnny Blaze wages constant battle-externally, against the forces of evil and, internally, against the influence of Zarathos. When Mephisto is thwarted in his attempt to collect Blaze’s soul, he exacts his revenge by bonding Blaze to a lesser demon known as Zarathos. Blaze’s foster father is cured but soon dies in a motorcycle accident. The new Ghost Rider is motorcycle stuntman Johnny Blaze, who, upon learning that his foster father is afflicted with a terminal disease, sells his soul to a demon named Mephisto in exchange for a cure. (The 19th-century hero was henceforth known as the Phantom Rider.) This Ghost Rider rode a motorcycle, wore a blue leather costume, and had a blazing skull for a head, making him one of the most visually arresting characters in comics. That series was not a great success, and Friedrich and Ploog reimagined the character with modern touches. That version of Ghost Rider was 19th-century teacher Carter Slade, who disguised himself in a ghostlike phosphorescent costume when he fought lawbreakers. After the trademark on that character expired, Friedrich, Ayers, and writer Roy Thomas created a Marvel Comics version of him in Ghost Rider no. The original Ghost Rider was a western antihero created by writer Ray Krank and artist Dick Ayers for the publisher Magazine Enterprises in 1949. The character first appeared in Marvel Spotlight no. Ghost Rider, American comic strip superhero whose best-known incarnation was created for Marvel Comics by writer Gary Friedrich and artist Mike Ploog.
